Viktor Horstin and Rolf Snoeren are the heads behind the names. They met at the Arnhem fashion academy where they both studied. When they graduaded in 1992 they had alread decided to share their unconventional styles and founded the label Viktor&Rolf.. The final breakthough was their first invitation to show at Paris fashion week in 1998. A steadily increasing fanbase shows the success of their extreme collections based on unconventional fittings and exaggerated forms.
